Trefoil follows seventeen-year-old triplets Meckenzie, Taggart, and Kellan. This book required that I add a whole new shelf called "Unreadable." And folks, both of these were on the first page of my Kindle edition. So not only did we switch from past tense to present tense to past tense, the main character put her running clothes on twice. Throwing her running clothes on, Meckenzie slipped her iPhone around her arm " That was if Kellan was really getting ready. With any luck, they could do five miles through Central Park before needing to get ready to make it to school on time. Meckenzie changed into her running clothes and pulled her hair back. "Knocking softly, Meckenzie opened the door to Kellan's room. Not that Taggart was prone to any trouble that was all Kellan." How does that last "sentence" exist in a published book? Always trying to clean up after him and keep him out of trouble. "Taggart was only a minute younger than Meckenzie, but she always felt like the older sister. The writing and editing are so awful, I couldn't make it past the first chapter.
